#15 If i search for my lost socks will google find them?
I think Google has become the mainstream search tool and most people including myself don't use anything else... why? I really don't know… Other than I have become accustomed to using it. It’s simple, quick, and for the most part has done a decent job of finding me what I need. As long as I don’t go more than a page out. In which case the search is destroyed and made irrelevant. Almost like it finds a trace of what I was looking for turns it around backwards maybe adds in a few extra words and posts some sites. As for the meta searches I think the mamma one is just funny and I might try using it more to see how it compares. I know that you can do searches to test them. But I’m not one to look them over side by side. I will just have to field test it when I need it.
#14 If a podcast is played in a forrest and no one is around does it make a sound?
i'm not a fan of podcasting... probably because i don't have anything important to listen to. i did play a couple of the other library pod casts just to hear a couple and some are good and some are bad. But i'm guessing they all carry there own heart filled message to the masses. Some would say that if you download and listen to a pod cast you might not have to look anywhere else for information. I would say that would be a usefull tool to have. especially since it carries more of a interaction than just reading the information. I did find some of the teen podcasts and the skits they did very entertaining. As for subscribing to them and listening to them everyday i doubt i'm up for that kind of commitement to them. Maybe one day when i find something that suits my interests and i will listen to someone else tell me about it on-line.

#13 I can do my own plastic surgery on-line... SO COOL!!!
It's great for those times when you want to put some zang in your everyday material. Works great for school projects also but i guess it depends on the project. But i'm guessing if i wrote an e-mail all in burning text i would be forever put into shame. along with maybe being asked why i sent a file the size of a hard drive, all to say hey i got your message and sent this one back in response hope you like the new text i found online. As for the card generators and such it's really cool to send an online card free than pay for one and mail it or give it in person. also adds that added touch of flare to the most boring of paper. I didn't play around with it to much as i didn't need any cards sent at this time and when i upload a animated text it lost it's animation. due to the actual site i made it on not supporting web hosting i had to download it and i don't need to keep it longer than the five seconds to look at it. So in this case it actually was a good idea to look over this one. I can now find a hundred more sites to make myspace backgrounds and cool looking letters.

#12 Books and Media in Overdrive. Now faster than the speed of 'click'
So i downloaded this Overdrive media program that allows me to download and read books, or listen to music, or get alot of the same material i would get at the library directly over my interenet connection. Sounds like a great ideal; i can get my material without leaving the house. sadly i'm not much for reading books off my monitor screen. i also don't care to much for having a digital copy of it. i would rather read the real deal. get some great page flipping action. enjoy that wonderous paper smell as you scream through each fun filled adventure. now i can see the digital material a huge benefit for reference materials and informational materials that i could skim through or use the search function to find what i'm looking for faster than page flipping. or to tag pages for future reference at later times. even though we are getting more and more things faster than the speed of click... i think i would rather browse a collection and enjoy the drive to the store.
